School Safety Awareness:
This module reviews the need for school safety
information, statistics, and provides objectives for the course as a whole.School Violence Prevention:
The Prevention module goes through the steps
school personnel and administrators can take to help prevent incidents of
school violence. It discusses everything from personnel background checks
to checking school grounds to forming a school safety advisory group.School Violence Intervention:
The Intervention module speaks candidly on
how to shape a mindset and how to respond to an act of school violence.
The Intervention module presents how to deal with disruptive student
behavior, intervention methods for assaults and assaults with weapons,
assessing whether a situation can be intervened, negotiation principals,
post-incident protocols and training.This entire training program will take approximately 45 hours to complete and costs $99. Upon completion, participants can apply for three graduate credits which is available for the current graduate price.
